Dear Al. Please accept my heartfelt condolences with the loss of your beloved son. You and I knew each other in another life at Carol Cable, when I was then Viola Mathis. I married Jim Eaton's son, Dennis in 1974. I fondly remember you as a very humble, kind and generous man. Your son, Michael, looks so very much like you (at least as I remember you). There are no perfect words to say right now to you, Al. However, please note that my heartfelt sympathy goes to you and your entire family. May God hold you in His arms and give you strength and courage to face the days ahead. Fondly, Vi

Alfred,Donna,Fred,David, and mike's lovely wife Heather. I've known Mike as a co-worker, a mentor ,and a special friend. His dedication and committment to recovery was one of great determination. I am greatful to have had the opportunity to share that part of his life and watch him move forward. I only wish i could have done as well as he. I'm still trying Mike, "one day at a time". My deepest sympathy to you all. Mike, you will always hold a special place in my heart. love you & miss u my friend "God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change..Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference" Amen

A Poem for Al, Family & Michael

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye is not easy
To me, for I truly love
It is the saddest word I will ever say
I say goodbye now...Confound the day

Confound the day, that you left me
Confound the pain, of the heart
Memories, no one can take them away
You will always be near, your a part

Thoughts, they always come easy
To me, for I truly love
The saddest thing I could ever do
Was forget times, I shared with you

Confound the day, that you left me
Confound the pain, of the heart
Memories, no one can take them away
You will always be near, your a part.

Dear Al,

We learned about Mike's passing when we came up to Sadulsky's in August. Vicky and I were shocked and terribly saddened. I thought the world of Mike. His friendship and kindness toward me and our grandson, Nicholas, was something I will never forget. The warmth and kindness Mike displayed to Nick, by replacing a lure Nick had lost given to him by his uncle, an uncle who like Mike, died much to young, showed great empathy and what a special person he was.

Mike was a great fisherman.......Like father, like son.....His and your "Year Of The Bass", so to speak, when you caught so many 7-8 pounders, has been forever stamped
in the fishing lore of East Pond and Sadulsky's.

I will miss him, but always remember what a great guy he was.

Love,
Peter Prince
